To strengthen new students’ awareness of road safety in their daily lives, QMES worked with the Legal Publicity Brigade of the Xi’an Public Security Bureau Traffic Police Detachment to organise a dedicated road safety session on the afternoon of 17 September.

Liu Xiaoze, a police officer with the Beilin Brigade of the Xi’an Public Security Bureau Traffic Police Detachment who has more than 18 years of experience in traffic policing, delivered a session under the theme “Promoting Safety Through Law, Encouraging Responsible Road Use”.

During the session, Officer Liu Xiaoze invited students to take part in a drink-driving simulation using special goggles, allowing them to experience first-hand the blurred vision and impaired judgement caused by driving under the influence of alcohol. The students participated enthusiastically and actively engaged in the discussion.

Next, Nie Yong, a police officer with the Gaoxin Brigade of the Xi’an Public Security Bureau Traffic Police Detachment who has extensive experience in frontline traffic management, delivered a session entitled “Responsible Road Use, Courtesy on Every Journey”.

The session further strengthened the foundation of road safety education on campus. Going forward, QMES will continue to organise a range of safety education activities on a regular basis, helping all students maintain a strong awareness of safety and put road safety awareness into practice in their daily lives.
